Not everything needs to be bright to be cheerful

This wreath is made up of quieter colors. Sometimes you need a rest after the brilliance of tomato red and pumpkin orange. 

This wreath is full of summer flowers that will last until the next growing season: celosia, zinnia, goldenrod and feverfew on a bed of sweet Annie. The wreath form is birch branches from a tree that fell down in the spring.

This wreath will last for a long time if it is in a protected spot that isn't sunny. I have one on my covered porch all year long. Sunlight will cause the plants to fade.
